Vietnamese Valve and Faucet Companies Invest Millions of USD to Develop Products

Every year, Minh Hòa Company allocates a significant budget to invest in machinery and product development to conquer foreign markets.
According to a representative of Minh Hòa valve and faucet company, in the 2000s, the domestic valve and faucet market was merely a “playground” for foreign enterprises. At that time, Vietnam had no valve manufacturing factories, nor any company willing to boldly invest in this production sector. Imported products dominated the majority of the market share. Consumers at that time only knew brands from Italy, Japan, Thailand… along with some unbranded products of unclear origin imported through unofficial channels.
The valve and faucet manufacturing industry was still unfamiliar to Vietnamese businesses, including Minh Hòa. Starting as a small business selling water supply materials, Mr. Trương Quốc Cư identified existing problems in the domestic market. The idea of investing in valves and faucets was nurtured by him since that time. After evaluating the market and finding new development opportunities, he and the company’s leadership decided to build the first valve manufacturing factory in Vietnam in 2005.

Pioneering in the valve and faucet manufacturing sector also meant facing many difficulties, especially since Vietnam had no equipment or production technology. The company’s leadership sent teams of staff abroad to study production technology, imported production lines, and ordered specialized machinery.
In June 2006, the factory shipped the first batch of products under the Minh Hòa Valve and Faucet brand to the market. Once the company mastered the production technology and stabilized product quality, the Minh Hòa brand not only gained a strong foothold in the domestic market but gradually secured a position in the international arena. In 2012, Minh Hòa exported its first batch of valves and faucets overseas.
According to the company’s statistics, by 2017, solely in the domestic market, the company sold over 12 million products, with a distribution network spanning all 63 provinces and cities, totaling nearly 1,000 stores and agents. Minh Hòa’s “Made in Vietnam” valves and faucets have appeared in large social housing projects, industrial constructions, and clean water projects.
Beyond the Vietnamese market, Minh Hòa’s products are currently present in many countries and territories. A company representative stated that over 5 million products have entered demanding markets such as Germany, the United States, Spain, Japan, and South Korea.

To provide the market with products that meet international standards, the company’s leadership decided to put into operation an advanced production line system consisting of 500 new-generation automatic and semi-automatic machines imported from Germany, Japan, Taiwan, and managed and operated by a team of engineers and more than 600 skilled technical workers.
“Determining product quality during the first customer interaction is a crucial factor that decides success or failure; we do not allow the company to produce defective products,” a company representative stated.
Accordingly, every year the company invests millions of USD in research, machinery renewal, and new product development. In addition, the company regularly sends staff abroad for training and invites foreign experts to Vietnam to conduct periodic inspections of the machinery system’s quality.
“Thanks to strict adherence to quality control processes under ISO 9001-2015 standards, Minh Hòa valves and faucets have been certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as domestically manufactured products that replace imported goods,” the company’s leadership affirmed.

Currently, Minh Hòa owns a portfolio of 500 popular valve and faucet products, releasing new products every 2 to 4 months. In its upcoming business plan, besides aiming to maintain its domestic market share, Minh Hòa stated that it will continue to expand its market presence in major foreign countries.
